Band is back for their 21st season of entertainment at the Woodtick Musical Theatre in downtown Akeley. Laura and Gary Block will return once again
on Wednesday, August 1, for an afternoon of foot-stompin’,
hand-clappin’ fun.
Plus there’s a delicious dinner planned after the show in Walker.
Our Andy’s Charter tour coach leaves
Little Falls for northern Minnesota at 12:40 p.m. from the northeast corner of
the Wal-Mart parking lot. When we arrive
in Akeley it may not look like Nashville’s Grand Old Opry,
but the talent of Woodtick’s performers leaves the
audiences just as satisfied. Every year
Mike and the entertainers put together a fresh show. If you’ve seen it in the past, be prepared
for a two hour show that features new songs, comedy skits, lighthearted
instrumentals, harmonica, fiddles and guitars.
The family oriented show appeals to all ages and it’s a great afternoon
of entertainment. It’s guaranteed to get
your toes tapping and put a smile on your face.
So climb aboard the music train and let the Woodtick
take you on a ride! It’s an event we
always look forward to and this summer we once again have great reserved seats.
After the show, it’s dinner time at the
Lucky Moose Restaurant in Walker. This
restaurant is a home-grown creation using family recipes. It’s a beautiful log structure with inviting
posh dining rooms, gleaming polished wood décor with large beams across the
high ceiling. We have a choice of three entrees:
a six ounce sirloin or baked cod, baked potato, house vegetable and salad or
parmesan crusted chicken breast served over fettuccine with salad. Coffee, iced tea or soda is also included. We
will be returning to Little Falls around 8:30 p.m. Join us for a fabulous and fun one day
getaway in northern Minnesota.
