Wisconsin Autumn Adventure 2018

September 19-21, 2018

Maggie Mae & Clauson Family Shows, Cranberry Marshes, Lake Delton Resort

Every once in a while, a three day getaway appears that is so fabulous, you have to read the entire brochure to discover how exciting it really is.  This is that three day getaway!!!  Other tour companies may be offering a getaway that looks like this, but we offer so much more!! The last couple of years we offered a trip very much like this one.  We kept a couple of highlights and added lots of new ones.  Join Laura and Gary Block September 19-21 for our “Wisconsin Autumn  Adventure 2018” that includes  the Maggie Mae dinner and show at her farm,  Clauson Family Dinner Show, cranberry marsh tour, two nights at a family lake resort, two wagon rides with one in Lost Canyon, dinner at Buffalo Phil’s and more.  Get ready to enjoy three extraordinary days in Wisconsin.  Our Andy’s Charter Service coach departs Little Falls Wednesday, September 19th from the northeast corner of Wal-Mart and we’ll pick up in Royalton, Rice, St. Cloud, the Twin Cities or anywhere else on our route.  Our journey will take us through central Wisconsin as we travel to Baker’s Sunset Bay Resort on the shores of Lake Delton, our home for the next two nights.  Sunset Bay Resort is a family owned and operated resort that caters to families and offers all the amenities that will make your vacation special.  Let’s freshen up a bit and then hit the road again for dinner at Buffalo Phil’s, the home of train delivered food!!  The buffet includes grilled chicken breast w/Bruschetta, slow-roasted tri- tip of beef, garlic mashed potatoes, house salad, beverage and dessert.  What a delightful way to finish our busy day.

Day two begins with an all-you-can-eat breakfast at Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty.  Pancakes, sausage links and ham, scrambled eggs, camp fried potatoes, biscuits & gravy, famous homemade buttermilk donuts, coffee, hot tea, white milk and orange juice….all served family style.   We return to the shores of Lake Delton for a horse drawn carriage tour through Lost Canyon, the longest and deepest canyon in Wisconsin.  Ride through a mile of cliff-walled gorges in comfortable, yet quaint carriages.  In some of the deeper parts of the canyon, the sheer rock and sandstone walls have not felt the touch of the sun in more than 50,000 years. You’ll have plenty of music and food today as we travel to the rural area of Oxford and the Maggie Mae and Roger Hilliard farm for an “Old Fashioned Barn Dance Show”.  A wonderful dinner is served buffet style at noon in their restored barn. The dinner includes roast beef, BBQ chicken, red potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, cowboy beans, pasta and fruit salads, cole slaw, corn bread, honey butter, dessert, coffee, water and lemonade.  Maggie Mae and the Heartland Country band take the stage and provide the musical entertainment consisting of classic country songs.  Maggie Mae is featured on RFD-TV and is one of the most personable and talented ladies you’ll ever see on stage.  People from all over the United States travel to Oxford to experience this sold-out show.   From the farm to the ranch, our next stop is at Woodside Ranch in Mauston.  Enjoy a 45 minute tractor-pulled hay wagon ride through part of the ranch’s 1500 acres.  Visit the trading post and petting zoo also.  This is a pleasant mid-afternoon stop.   It’s dinner time as we travel to the village of Coloma where an evening of unforgettable entertainment awaits us at the Clauson Family Music Show in a fully restored barn theatre. The rustic interior remains the same as it was in 1891.  In addition, the lower level features an antique milking parlor complete with stanchions.  This is a private dinner show for Gary Block Tours as the Clausons have so generously agreed to open their doors for us tonight. We begin with a delectable meal served buffet style that includes three meat entrees, potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, fruit salad, dessert and beverage – all made fresh from the Clauson kitchen.  Browse in the gift shoppes after the meal and then enjoy the Fall Spectacular Music Show, featuring the best songs to come out of this year’s productions.  This show features a variety of music performed by the very talented Clauson Family.  Another delightful way to finish our busy day.

Day three begins with a delicious breakfast from the fabulous Elite Catering in the resort’s Canyon Room.  Early this morning we head north to Pittsville, in the heart of Central Wisconsin Cranberry Country, for a two hour Splash of Red Cranberry Tour.  FFA members and students, of the only cranberry science class taught in the nation, will be giving this tour.  The tours help pay for student scholarships and many more FFA related activities.  The tour includes cranberry producing beds up close and everything you always wanted to know about the growing and harvesting process.  A lunch, made by the cranberry science class, includes a cranberry treat.  If you enjoy a mixture of beautiful scenery and rural areas, this is the trip for you.  Six huge meals are included, plus lots of fun and unique entertainment.  Sign up today for
