The Looney Lutherans in Hold the Lutefisk

(It’s Beginning to Smell a Lot Like Christmas)

Plymouth Playhouse holiday lunch & comedy show

November 8, 2017

“You’d better watch out, you’d better not cry….”, because The Looney Lutherans are coming (back) to town with more tips for surviving the holidays, the Lutheran way.  Join Laura and Gary Block on Wednesday November 8th for a delicious lunch and reserved seats at Plymouth Playhouse, celebrating over 40 years of entertainment. We leave Little Falls at 9:30 a.m. from the northeast corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Our comfortable Andy’s Charter Service motor coach will also pick up in Royalton, Rice, St. Cloud or anywhere else on our route.  Lunch is catered by the Green Mill in Plymouth.  Enjoy the special holiday hot buffet that features roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, marshmallow fruit salad, cranberries, dessert, coffee and iced tea.  Following lunch, it’s across the hall to Plymouth Playhouse where we have reserved seats in the theater.  “Hold the Lutefisk (It’s Beginning to Smell a Lot Like Christmas)” starring The Looney Lutherans, is a show cooked up by one of the writers of the hit “Church Basement Ladies” series, Greta Grosch, who is also in the production.  The Looney Lutherans are a trio of wacky gals always ready to entertain.  Prepare to keep those New Year’s resolutions with exciting new exercise tips (the 12 Days of Housework), hear the Loonies extol the virtues of their new Cuisinart 12 speed mixers and learn the secret to getting on Santa’s “nice list”(hotdish, anyone?).  Whether your in-laws have overstayed their welcome, or the furnace is acting up, take a break from the stress of the season by celebrating the holidays with The Looney Lutherans.  And, of course, you don’t have to be Lutheran to love ‘em!!  In the tradition of the Church Basement Ladies productions, you’ll have a wonderful experience at Plymouth Playhouse with this hysterically funny production.  Combine a fabulous Christmas buffet lunch catered by the Green Mill and The Loony Lutherans and you have the perfect day! Have yourself a Looney Little Christmas with Ginger Johnson, Bella Anderson and Lois Jenson, the Looney Lutherans.  We will be returning to Little Falls around 5:30 p.m.

Travel Notes: Eight seats still remain for a trip down Memory Lane with “Life Could Be A

Dream” on November 1st at the Old Log Theatre on Lake Minnetonka.  Our visit begins with

a choice of four lunch entrees - Tilalpia, beef short ribs, pork chops and vegetarian pasta –

and then we’ll sit back and enjoy the award-winning 60’s doo-wop musical.  Hear hit songs

such as “Runaround Sue”, “Earth Angel”, “Unchained Melody”, “Why Do Fools Fall In Love”,

“Life Could Be A Dream” and many more as the singing foursome “Crooning Cupcakes” are

headed to fame and fortune by trying to win the local contest on Big Whopper Radio, but there

are lots of twists and turns in this musical story.  This show will leave you laughing, singing and

cheering.  The cost of this entertaining day is only $89. Sign up today before this trip sells out!
