Life Could Be A Dream

Old Log Theatre

Musical Comedy &Lunch

November 1, 2017

It’s a trip down memory lane with “Life Could Be A Dream”.  Join Laura and Gary Block on Wednesday, November 1st when our Andy’s Charter Service coach departs Little Falls at 9:15 a.m. from the northeast corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot.  We’ll also pick up in Royalton, Rice, St. Cloud East Shopko northeast parking lot or any other city along the way.  An afternoon of food & fun is waiting for us at the Old Log Theater which is set on 11 beautiful acres on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.  The 2 ½ million dollar renovation of the Old Log now boasts a new restaurant, dining room, entry way, state-of-the-art kitchen, bathrooms and seating at beautiful round tables for our meal. Our visit begins with a delicious luncheon and a choice of four entrees, including braised boneless beef short ribs with potatoes, vegetable and gravy, dill roasted Tilapia with potatoes and vegetables or seared pork chop, potatoes, vegetables and bacon port demi glaze. The fourth entrée choice is angel hair pasta with garden marinara. All meals include dinner rolls, dessert and coffee or tea. (Please let us know what your lunch choice is when you sign up) Following lunch we’ll sit back and enjoy the award-winning 60’s doo-wop musical “Life Could Be A Dream”.  Take a trip to Springfield and meet Denny and the Dreamers, a fledgling doo-wop singing group preparing to enter the Big Whopper Radio contest to realize their dreams of making it to the big time!  Trouble comes in the form of Lois, who arrives to put some polish on the boys.  Denny falls in love, Wally falls in line, Eugene falls apart and along comes handsome heartthrob Skip to send the whole situation spinning.  Hear hit songs like: Fools Fall in Love, Tears on My Pillow, Runaround Sue, Earth Angel, Stay, Unchained Melody and, of course, Life Could be a Dream.  This is pure fun and every note counts in this rousing good-time musical.  Winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Best Musical Award, “Life Could Be a Dream”, will leave you laughing, singing, and cheering! We’re looking forward to a fun day at the Old Log Theatre and returning to Little Falls around 6:15.
