The John Conlee Show
Paramount Center with buffet lunch at Coyote Moon
July 12, 2018
Country music legend John Conlee, aka “Mr. Rose Colored Glasses”, a regular performer at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, will be performing at the Paramount Center for the Arts and we have fantastic reserved seats on the main floor. Our comfortable Andy’s Charter Service motor coach will depart Little Falls from the northeast Wal-Mart parking lot at 10:45 a.m. We’ll also pick up in Royalton, Rice or St. Cloud. Our getaway begins with a lunch buffet at Coyote Moon in St. Cloud. The restaurant’s Minnesota lodge-style architecture features a large double-sided fireplace and delicious food. The buffet includes two meats, potato, veggie, popover with honey butter, homemade soup and salad bar, dessert and beverage.
The Paramount Center is our next stop. Those main floor reserved seats are waiting for us and so is The John Conlee Show. One of the most respected vocalists to emerge during the Urban Cowboy era, Conlee is known for his superb taste in material and his distinctively melancholy voice. John has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1981 and has been in the music industry for over 40 years. During his country music career, he has released several classic songs, including his iconic “Rose Colored Glasses”, “Friday Night Blues”, “Backside of 30”, “Common Man”, “Miss Emily’s Picture, “I Don’t Remember Lovin’ You” and many more. Overall, John has released 32 singles with 26 of them charting in the Top 20 or better. Eight of those 26 have reached the coveted Number 1 spot on the national country charts. The #1’s began in 1978 and continued through the 1980’s with hits such as “I’m Only In It For the Love”, “Got My Heart Set On You”, “Domestic Life”, “Years After You” and “Mama’s Rockin’ Chair”. Conlee recorded 11 studio albums in his career. In the late 80’s, Conlee curtailed his recording activities and began devoting his time to charity work (often on behalf of American farmers), raising his family and running his own farm outside of Nashville. What a show….what a day!! We’ll be returning to Little Falls around 4:30 p.m. Call today and make your reservations.
