Happy
Together Tour 2014
The
Greatest Pop/Rock Artists of the 60’s & 70’s
August
4, 2014
Sanford Center in Bemidji
Join Laura and Gary Block this summer for
the “Happy Together Tour 2014”. The
greatest pop/rock artists of the 60’s and 70’s are coming to northern
Minnesota. Experience these legendary acts up close and personal. Gary Block
Tours, in association with Lakeland Public Television, invites you to join us Monday
night, August 4th at the Sanford Center in Bemidji where we have
some of the best seats in the arena in the second thru fifth rows on the main
floor. We’ll depart Little Falls at 3:45
pm from the northeast corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Our comfortable Andy’s Charter Service motorcoach will also pick up in Brainerd or anywhere else
along our route. Our reserved seats are
waiting for us at northern Minnesota’s premiere venue, the Sanford Center, for
the seven o’clock show. The 2014 tour
features ‘The Turtles’ who’ll be performing their many hits including “She’d
Rather Be With Me”, “Elenore”, “You Showed Me”, “It Ain’t Me Babe” and the song that replaced The Beatles’
“Penny Lane” at the #1 spot in 1967 “Happy Together”. You’ll also witness the talents of Chuck
Negron, former lead singer of the most successful band of the late 60’s and
early 70’s, “Three Dog Night” and hits such as “Joy to the World”, “One”,
“Elli’s Coming”, “Mama Told Me Not to Come” and many more. In the mid-60’s “Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels” topped the charts and during the show
they’ll be performing their hits such as “Devil With the Blue Dress On”, “Sock
It To Me Baby” and “Jenny Take a Ride”.
You can’t talk about music in the 70’s without talking about Grand Funk
Railroad’s Mark Farner playing his hits such as
“We’re An American Band”, “The Loco-Motion”, “Some
Kind of Wonderful” and more. The son of
comedian Jerry Lewis had a string of hit singles in the mid-60’s. Yes, Gary Lewis & The Playboys hit the
charts with the #1 single “This Diamond Ring” and followed with “Save Your
Heart For Me”, “Everybody Loves A Clown”, “She’s Just My Style”, “Green Grass”
and “Sure Gonna Miss Her”. All the performers will have a set featuring
their hits and the finale has everyone on the stage performing a medley of
songs. If you were there in the 60’s and
70’s, this is the time to reminisce and experience the music of your youth. The
Happy Together Tour 2014 is coming to Bemidji and you could have some of the
best seats in the house on the main floor!!!
