Buffet lunch and musical comedy show – Plymouth Playhouse
The ladies are
back and it’s 1960!! Our first four dates sold out on September 14, 21, 28,
& October 12, so we’ve added another
on March 21! Join Laura and Gary
Block on Wednesday, March 21 for a delicious lunch and reserved center section seats
for a brand new “Church Basement Ladies – A Mighty Fortress is our Basement” at
Plymouth Playhouse. We leave Little Falls at 9:30 from the northeast
corner of the Wal-Mart parking lot. Our
comfortable Andy’s Charter Service tour coach will also pick up in Royalton,
Rice, St. Cloud or anywhere else on our route.
Lunch is catered by the Green Mill in Plymouth, where our reserved
tables will be set up for us in a private dining room. Enjoy the special hot buffet featuring baked
chicken breast, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, beverage and dessert. Following lunch, it’s across the hall to
Plymouth Playhouse. We have center
section reserved seats in the theater for what could be the funniest
installment yet of the Church Basement Ladies.
This production is the fourth in a series and it’s just as enjoyable as
the first three. All the ladies are
back; Vivian, Mavis, Beverly and her mother Karin, plus the pastor whose
fledgling romance has always inspired mixed reactions from the church ladies. Beverly turns 15 and gets her first pair of
high heels for confirmation; Pastor announces his impending nuptials; Mrs. Snustad and Mrs. Gilmerson plan a
food booth at the County Fair to raise money; and Mrs. Engelson
embarks on a spontaneous driving lesson.
In the rural church basement kitchen in the spring, a reformation is
underway and our favorite Church Basement Ladies are facing it head-on. With
more crazy antics, more great new songs, and more lessons reluctantly learned,
the Church Basement Ladies are at it again in their new musical comedy, A
Mighty Fortress (Is Our Basement). If
you’re looking for some feel-good entertainment that will leave you smiling,
this is the show for you. A charming,
funny and heartfelt tribute to these strong and faithful women, “A Mighty
Fortress is our Basement” is the perfect getaway gift for your self, family or
friends. The songs are charming and the
humor is family friendly. Combine a
fabulous buffet lunch catered by the Green Mill, fantastic reserved seats and a
charming comedy and you have the perfect day!
